Rankle explores the roles of dominance and servitude in erotic relationships. The story is centered around mistress who provides service to her customer and innocent concierge working for her. The concierge witnesses the divergent roles his client plays and recognizes his naivety in having romantic feelings for her. This work portrays hypocrisy rooted in risqué businesses and the characteristic relationships it generates.
